Your Admissions Strategy Session is Confirmed!

We look forward to speaking with you. To ensure our conversation is as valuable and productive as possible, please complete the 3 steps below prior to your call.

⚠️

Action Required: Please send this page to your partner/spouse and your student right now. All decision-makers and your student need to complete these steps before the call. Families who arrive aligned and prepared get the most out of their session — and move fastest toward a clear strategy.

STEP 1

Watch This First: How to Prepare for Our Call

Welcome — and congratulations on taking this step.

Your call is scheduled and your advisor is already preparing for your conversation. To make sure we can get straight to the work that matters on the day of your call, please take two minutes right now to:

1. Accept your calendar invite. Check your inbox for the confirmation email and click "Yes" to lock in your time and receive reminders. The Zoom link is inside the invite — save it somewhere easy to find.

2. Check your email and reply back with your student's resume and transcript. This is very important for us to have before the call.

3. Forward this page to your partner/spouse and your student. This is not optional. The families who make the most progress on their call are the ones who show up together, aligned, and having watched the same preparation material. Getting everyone aligned from the very beginning is the fastest path to building a clear, effective admissions strategy.

4. Complete Step 2 and Step 3 below — before your call. This is your homework. It tackles the most important questions you should be asking and will give you a new framework for how to think about this process.

STEP 2

The Right Way to Choose an Admissions Strategist (Mandatory Viewing — Watch With Your Family)

Here's the thing: most families come into this call with the wrong questions.

They want to know which Admissions Strategist has the best stats. They want to know if their student can get into Harvard. They want to know if the Admissions Strategist is someone their student will be "besties" with. And look — those are completely understandable things to wonder about. But they're not the questions that will actually help your student stand out.

The families who get the most out of this process are the ones who understand how admissions actually works before they start making decisions.

In this video, Thomas Caleel, founder of Admittedly and former Director of MBA Admissions at The Wharton School, shares the same candid advice he gives to every family we work with privately. You will learn:

Why your Admissions Strategist shouldn't be your friend. The moment an Admissions Strategist becomes a friend, they lose objectivity. A great Admissions Strategist is a teacher, mentor, and guide who will push and challenge your child to reach their full potential.

The danger of the "local Admissions Strategist" approach. Local Admissions Strategists often lack a reference for the broader, national pool of applicants, leading to recycled advice and students who blend in rather than stand out.

The truth about statistics and "guarantees." Why manufactured stats and outcome guarantees are often smoke and mirrors, and why the only statistic that matters is where your unique child matriculates and thrives.

Watch the video above before your call. It will change how you think about choosing a partner for this journey.

STEP 3

The Collaborative Team Approach

For decades, the standard in this industry has been one Admissions Strategist, one student. But in today's ruthlessly competitive admissions landscape, a single perspective is a limitation your student shouldn't have to work around.

That's why we built our Collaborative Team Approach.

When you work with Admittedly, your student sits at the center of a complete, structured system designed to give them every possible advantage:

  • Dedicated Admissions Strategist: The architect of your admissions plan, often a former admissions officer from a top university, who owns your child's overall strategy.
  • Student Success Coordinator: Your operational partner who keeps timelines, milestones, and follow-through on track.
  • Essay Specialist: A dedicated expert focused entirely on helping your student find and tell their authentic, compelling story.
  • Specialty Experts & Partners: Access to specialized support for arts, athletics, or transfers, plus our partnership with Advantage Testing for best-in-class test prep.
  • Internal Trainings: Our team of 50+ Admissions Strategists, Student Success Coordinators, and Essay Specialists attend trainings led by our Director of Strategy to share the latest trends and discuss student cases. This ensures that every team member is keeping up with a constantly-evolving landscape, new institutional priorities, and sharing feedback with one another.
  • Weekly Team Access & Community: "Ask Admittedlys" sessions for collective wisdom from our entire team of former AOs, and "Admittedly Academy" seminars to build a supportive community.

Your child's application is reviewed, discussed, and refined with the rigor of a committee — exactly how selective admissions offices evaluate applications.

Hear From Families Who Have Been Exactly Where You Are

Every family that comes to us has the same questions, the same concerns, and the same hopes for their student. Here's what happened when they decided to get intentional.

You're One Conversation Away From Clarity.

Your advisor is looking forward to meeting you. On your call, they will take a close look at your student's specific situation — their grades, their activities, their goals, and where they stand today relative to the schools they're targeting.

You will walk away with an honest picture of your student's current strengths and biggest areas of opportunity, and a clear sense of the next steps that will actually move the needle.

Come ready to talk about your student's goals, their current course load, and what they've been spending their time on outside the classroom. The more specific you can be, the more valuable the conversation will be.

We will see you on the call.
